As input to a report that will be published by Barclays and the ScaleUp Institute in Q1 2019, a dataset of 267 UK deals in profit-with-purpose businesses, amounting to over £400m across four years was collected, cleaned, and established.
This session provides an opportunity to dive deeper into this first-of-its-kind dataset, to gather different perspectives around the successes and failures, and reflect on how we can improve the data which is available.
Run as a workshop, we could split into several groups, with each group reviewing exhibits from the dataset and drawing conclusions which are then presented to all participants.
Run as a challenge, we can have individuals respond to the data by answering: What does this tell us about the sector? What additional data do we need to move forward? What can I (and my organisation) provide?
