A spotlight on the new voices that have emerged from the Connect Fund, that are increasingly asking the right questions of social investment. Research commissioned by the Diversity Forum in 2018 reaffirmed that investor diversity continues to be an issue, even though there is sector-wide commitment to improving investor diversity. Yet, how about demand-side diversity? Are there systematic patterns in where funding is reaching, and not reaching? Will improved investor representation lead to demand-side diversity? This session aims to bring new voices to the fore and to sharpen the focus of diversity in the social investment sector, and offer practical solutions to move diversity in social investment forward.
