Four housing association giants have launched a new social investment fund, the Community Impact Partnership (CIP). This joint venture between Orbit Group, Clarion Housing Group, L&Q and Peabody Trust, will provide social investment for charitable organisations and social enterprises that create positive social impact within the communities served. Are housing associations really sleeping or just not well understood by social investors? Housing associations could be the ideal partners for place-based investment and to address employment and financial inclusion, among other issues.
